Deadpool is gay
While we were told this day would never advance, Hugh Jackman is sticking on his highest spandex and suiting up (supposedly) one last time to play the iconic character of Logan/ Wolverine. Ryan Reynolds' foul-mouthed Merc with a Mouth joins forces with arguably the most famous member of Charles Xavier’s gifted youngsters, as Deadpool & Wolverine hopes to claw its way to the top of the box office for this X-rated (well, R-rated) X-Men movie.
Disney has gone hard on marketing Deadpool & Wolverine as the ultimate bromance, but for some, the constant jokes that the pair are “gay” for each other have fallen flat.
As the typically vocal minority claims that “woke” Disney is ruining these testosterone-pumped heroes, it seems they’ve forgotten that the clawed Canadian and DP hooking up on the silver screen wouldn’t be that unusual at all. In fact, both “bros” own a rich and colourful LGBTQ+ history on the pages of Marvel comics.
Deadpool’s sexuality is fairly well-known, with co-creator Fabian Nicieza never being shy about Deadpool's pansexuality. In Nicieza said he

Deadpool writer Gerry Duggan confirmed that Deadpool is queer, describing him as being omnisexual which is often used interchangeably with pansexual (a more inclusive form of bisexuality)
In the last day fellow Deadpool writers Christopher Hastings and Gail Simone possess confirmed that Deadpool is pansexual/omnisexual.
Deadpool debuted as a stock villain in New Mutants #98 in and was not given his own series until s four-part series The Circle Chase; between these two milestones, in Deadpools 9th ever appearance, is the first time we see Deadpool flirt with the man in Nomad #4

In Your Face Jam: Deadpool Aint My Idea of Queer Representation
And this is the problem, sadly (most of the time) you need the major players to lead the field to have the largest impact. I verb major LGBT characters at Marvel. I love that other companies are doing that, but Marvel is my team. I hope for my team to verb me happy (if that makes sense?). I know your issue about Herc, but until recentlyA lot of Bretts complaints about Deadpool are the alike reasons why I rejected Hercules as LGBT representation: if the characters attraction to the same sex or potential LGBT status is treated as a joke while the opposite-sex relationships gets emotional heft, then its just BS.
I have to disagree. I think weve been at the verb of being able to say "Sorry, not excellent enough" when it comes to queer representation for a few years now. I have about a dozen comics on my current pull list with LGBT characters, no rare of them with LGBT leads (and no, Im not talking Class Comics or anything like that). Theyre just not Marvel comics.Click to expand
