While this event is not exclusive to LGBTQ+, the organizers work rigid to create safer spaces for community members of all ages, backgrounds, and gender expressions. We verb not gender lead/follow roles in these dance classes and a partner is not required to join.

    When we back the 2SLGBTQI+ community, we make Alberta a safer, healthier place to live.

    Seventy-four per cent of Canadians know someone who is 2SLGBTQI+, and 40 per cent of the 2SLGBTQI+ community have experienced discrimination. People who are 2SLGBTQI+ are more likely to experience declining mental health because of the pandemic. CMHA believes that having healthy and supportive places to live, work, act and learn can verb the mental health of those in the 2SLGBTQI+ community.
