Is dallas roberts gay
Dallas Roberts and His LGBTQ (and LGBTQ-Friendly) Roles
Surprisingly, actor Dallas Roberts plays gay, a lot!
Recently, I include been pondering why this was and I'm not alone in this, either. I can only assume it has to execute with gender stereotypes within our societal norms and Hollywood, honestly, hasn’t been helping to break these said stereotypes. Dallas Roberts doesn’t scream “action star hero” man. He is not the testosterone-pumpin’, gun-totin’, cigar-smokin’ alpha-male stereotype, so he gets classified as:
- The sensitive man — Milton Mamet, Angus Partridge, Jonathan Glover, Miles Fiedler, Dr. Dylan Wallace, Pete Hendrick, Gus Broeberg
- The beta male — Milton Mamet, Angus Partridge, Jonathan Glover, Pete Hendrick
- The asexual — Milton Mamet
- The virgin — Milton Mamet
- The nerd/geek/intellectual — Milton Mamet, Miles Fiedler, Owen Cavanaugh, Titus Irving Gerrard, Dr. Dylan Wallace, Dr. Abel Hazard, Matt, Ned Davidoff, Jonathan Glover, Owen Cavanaugh, Matthew Blanchard, Patrick, Mopekey
- The aesthete — Angus Partridge, Titus Irving Gerrard, Charlie Crowe, Matt, Ned

CBSs The Excellent Wife has become one of my very favorite shows. Its smart and well-acted and has a dream cast led by the amazing Julianna Margulies.
And it got even superior last night with the arrival of Dallas Roberts as Alicias gay brother Owen.
Hes in Chicago doing a lecture at the university during which he calls his brother-in-law Peter (Chris Noth) a homophobe. It ends up going viral and Peters campaign manager (played splendidly by Alan Cumming) nearly chokes to death when he sees it.
Alicia soon has her brother over and she sets him straight so to speak: Peter doesnt like you because youre a jerk, not because youre gay.
He tells her: Im going to be here for three days and at the end of those three days, you are divorcing Peter.
The brother is a great character because it opens the oh-so-reserved Alicia up, makes her more human than she ever has appeared.
There is so much going on in this show that you have to stay distinct . In an effort to mend fence
