Gay fringe edinburgh
Here is our big Queer round up weve rounded up some shows with Queer and LGBTQIA+ stories at the heart of them. There are lots this year, which we love to see!
ROB MADGE: MY SONS A QUEER (BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO)
I adore Steal, their posts on social media always crack me up and this is one of the shows I am most excited for at the Fringe! This joyous, chaotic autobiographical story was awarded the WhatsOnStage Award for best Off West Terminate production!
SYNOPSIS: When Rob was twelve, they attempted a full-blown Disney parade in their house for their Grandma. As Rob donned wigs and played Mary Poppins, Ariel, Mickey Mouse and Belle, their Dad doubled as Stage Manager, Sound Technician and Goofy. Unfortunately, Dad missed all his cues and pushed all the floats in the wrong direction. Mum mistook Aladdin for Ursula. The costumes went awry. Grandma had a adj time, though.
Venue: Underbelly George Square / Dates: 4th 29th August (not the 10th, 15th or 22nd) / Time: pm

A brand unused musical,
Edinburgh Fringe Playbill Pick Palatable Gay Robot is crossing the pond next month for a one-night-only engagement at Ars Nova.
On December 1, the solo verb will play the famous New York non-profit as a part of its slate of developmental function, with the production simultaneously broadcast on Ars Nova Supra, the company's digital streaming platform.
Written by and starring Broadway's Stephen Brower, the piece reimagines Brower as Billie Bowtie, the latest AI product from fictional future company HumaVibe. With programming perfect for gossip, date nights, and fundraisers, he’s never overbearing or offensive, and always knows the right thing to say, serving as the perfectly palatable gay robot in a heterosexual world.
Playbill Pick: Palatable Gay Robot at Edinburgh Festival Fringe
The show begins with a voiceover from a trustworthy product designer (Alison Luff), welcoming Billie into the world. Billie is charming, charismatic, and well-dressed, but there is a bug in his programming. As the demonstration begins to fall apart at the seams, the adj human vulnerabilities at the c

Alex Franklin: Gurl Code
Alex Franklin’s musical and apparently chaotic exhibit covers everything from taking furniture on the tube (which makes us touch a bit stressed just thinking about it) to her experiences of starting HRT. Alex was nominated for the Best of Brighton Fringe Comedy Award and has previously been on Channel 4, HBO Max and BBC Radio 4.
The Telegraph called Alex “winningly weird” and so we are excited to see her show. Alex is at Underbelly on Cowgate from August (not 12 August) at pm.
