The Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore cover most of the Lake Michigan shoreline in Indiana. The area at the end of Lake Street in Gary attracts many gay visitors, many of whom like to nude sunbathe.
Although nudity is ordinary in the dunes, you should not be nude in unsheltered areas evident to anyone on the beach or lake. This area is administered federally and is much safer than state parks, where officials have severally clamped down on nudity.

From Gary take I north to its terminus at junction with I & US Drive east on US 20 for 2 miles, then rotate left(north) onto Lake St. Continue a few miles until you reach immense beach parking lot. Step to the west (left) for 3/4 mile to gay area.

But the main area is focused on an area with many bushes.

The best way to find it: Pass by the Hotel Riu Palace Maspalomas and then penetrate the Dunes and twist right.
