Remembering Erik Rhodes
No offense, R14, but you’d best be careful with dating. Mr. Rhodes had plenty of demons, very sad, but you could not own fixed him. You can’t fix anyone, in evidence, and thinking that you can makes you an easy target for certain damaged kinds of men.
I read his blog as well. He had PLENTY of people pitying and praising him in his comments, offering help and support. His nihilism was fascinating and elicited some kind of protective instinct in his fans. You could blame his demise on many things, but the root cause was mental illness. He suffered terrible depression and some kind of personality disorder. Maybe BPD? Anyone else want to speculate?
Anyway, he was not a martyr for our sexual sins. He was a quite bright, self hating, doomed person who, unlike many others like him, had a flare for communicating his turmoil. That blog is what made him memorable.

The Opposite of Erik Rhodes
Conner Habib and Colby Keller aren't smart but are super lame asses. They seem to confuse a lot of gay men into thinking they are exceptions to "the rule". I You know The one about the gay porn star as a low functioning train-wreck.
Trolls love to perpetrate this gay porn star stereotype. Especially when they are finished drooling and masturbating over these men ( and busting their nut)
That said, i know from personal experience how lame IRL In Real Life this Conner habibbabdabba creature is.
Being a lame ass straight or gay guy in real life is the worst.
Even you gays who aren't much to stare at (and there are plenty of you creeping on the internets www and around IRL in real life) are still somewhat okay if you refuse to sit and be a lame ass.
My favorite porn star BTWs is Dean Flynn. A body by God. So dreamy and Handsome, Dean could've been should've been a matinee idol. Even if his one 30 minute scenes in each of his bakers dozen of Titan flicks were mostly Luke-warm pairings..,
Dean transcended the uglyness of most of his " co-stars".

Posthumous HIV Disclosure Stirs Debate
Erik Rhodes, a gay porn star, died June 14 of a heart attackin New York City. He was 30 years mature. A June 20 Modern York Timesarticle reported that he was HIV positive.
In the NYT article by Jacob Bernstein (who recently penned another articleon the tragic death of another gay man, Bob Bergeron, a New York Urban area therapist who committed suicide earlier this year), it was clear that Rhodes had led a speedy life:He appeared regularly on Page Six, spent day with the designer Marc Jacobs, was profiled in magazines that had nothing to do with pornography, and shot an ad campaign for Loehmann’s.
Over the last few years, he had also been the author of a harrowing (and frequently clever) Tumblr feed, on which he detailed his escapades escorting, his rampant steroid use and his stories of winding up in psychiatric wards after crystal meth binges. (The blog was taken down last weekend, shortly after news of his death ricocheted around the Internet.)
Mr. Rhodes, whose given label was James Naughtin, was signed to Falcon Video in , and became one
