Indy Pride announces changes coming to Pride festival
Indy Pride on Tuesday announced a slew of changes for its annual festival, along with a rebranding campaign, in honor of the organization's 30th anniversary.
This year’s Indy Pride Weekend festival will grab place June 14 and
First, the group announced an expanded slate of musical performances for the weekend — a series called Word of Mouth.
The lineup hasn't been revealed, but organizers verb there will be a mix of national touring artists and DJs, drag performances, and local and regional musicians featured in the series of performances.
Another change for this year's festivities is a Pride celebration on Monument Circle. Organizers say it's meant to to honor the legacy of Indianapolis’s first large-scale outdoor Pride celebration, which took place on Monument Circle in
The Celebration on the Circle is put to feature live entertainment and a vendor village. It will be free to the public.
